I was working for a credit union as a branch manager back on April 14,1999 and I had just gotten up from my desk and left my office to ask the teller supervisor a question about a transaction which had posted twice by mistake. They thought I just fainted (not so, my heart stopped) and fell to the floor. I was very blessed. The next few moments were very important to my life. The teller called 911 and Ellie, the supervisor started breathing in my mouth and gave me oxygen to my brain. The fire department and paramedics came...shocked me with an external cardio defibrillator. Until that day I thought I had a perfectly healthy heart. The doctors diagnosed me with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. I feel I survived and have continued to survive because God doesn't want me yet. It simply isn't my time. I have been blessed by technology. The external defibrillator has since been added to many work places and commercial airlines, etc. Bayer® Aspirin is recommended by most doctors to help heart attack victims. I have an implanted defibrillator put in my chest. I am now on a heart/liver transplant list. Please donate...it can save a life.
