Deb P.

I am a teacher of fifth grade in a Vermont small town. Sitting on the beach with my 10 year old son, boyfriend and close friends, I thought I was having heartburn. I walked up to the store to get an antacid, but felt more uncomfortable. My boyfriend thought I didn't look quite right. He asked what I was feeling like, and I explained my chest was tight and arm was uncomfortable. But I told him I was fine as I followed my son to the water. Long story short, he went to the truck, got me some baby aspirin, and after a half hour convinced me to go to the Wells ER. After testing and blood work, I was found to have had a heart attack. No family history, non-smoker, power walk everyday. I had a stent put in and 3 days later I celebrated my son's 11th birthday. Very blessed!
