I was out playing basketball, a game that people play every day. I was young, I was in shape, and I had a heart attack. I know what to do to prevent it. I know what I should’ve been doing. But…and I was, I thought doing most of the things. I was out exercising. I tried to ignore the symptoms. I have a little indigestion. I’m a little dizzy. I’ve been doing a little too much work. You know, I’m playing a little too hard…let me stop. I basically left the area where there were a group of people, and went to an area where I was the only one. Fortunately, someone came by, my wife, that noticed that I was having a heart attack. She said, “Hey you’re looking bad. We need to get a doctor over here.” She saved my life. She knew what to do. You still have to take charge of your life, and for me, it means an aspirin regimen. Go speak to your doctor. Make sure you’re in the right condition. The future for us looks bright. And as long as I keep doing what I’m doing for my regimen, I think it’ll be bright. I’m Michael Looney and I’m pro-heart.
